TOTALLY NEW WAY TO ASSESS AND PRESCRIBE LENSES AND ILLUMINATION
FOR VISUAL DYSLEXIA
Many
people get headaches and have difficulties with reading due to
the lighting and other visual stimuli. Coloured overlays and tinted
lenses have been found to help, but accurate assessment of the
combination of the lens filter and the lighting has always been
difficult.
ORTHOSCOPICS Limited is a new Cambridge based company
established to develop a range of colour related optical products
to provide visual perceptual analysis and to enable colour prescribing
for patients with these difficulties. The company has brought
together a series of instruments, tests and related hardware and
software products into a single package which will revolutionise
filter prescribing and improve all aspects of the lives of the
patients. Part of the Orthoscopics provision is the new VDEX
range of specific filters from Hoya.
